ENGLISH CANARY 2010 CROP
At Manor Farm Granaries, English Canary has been grown now for over 40 years. We have built up a good knowledge of this particular crop during this time. One thing we cannot however control is the weather, which this year brought us unseasonably wet weather at harvest time. The seed itself was fine but the heavy rain pushed the crop down to the ground which made harvesting interesting to say the least. Because of this we have a small amount of field soil in this years sample, which due to its size and weight we cannot remove completely. This has happened a couple of times in the past and still we sold out of the current years crop before the next was ready.
